Got some more good audio of the toads who serenade my neighborhood every spring. This time I got them early in the spring when they're most numerous. This excerpt was recorded inside the storm drain where my street crosses the creek so it has great natural reverb.

Here's a short excerpt from a recording I made of the grackles at nearby Highland Mall (not technically in Northfield, but why split hairs?). This really has to be experienced to be believed. The trees in the parking lot seem to be growing these birds as fruit. It smells very bad, and I was very wary about getting too close.
